Open Auditions – Annie – RARE Productions

RARE Productions are delighted to announce open auditions for the much-loved musical Annie, coming to The Kenton in July 2026.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms hearts despite a tough start in 1930s New York City. Determined to find the parents who abandoned her, Annie’s journey takes her from a cruel orphanage run by the embittered Miss Hannigan to unexpected adventures and friendships.

This all-time classic is a must for the whole family, featuring a fantastic soundtrack and a wealth of exciting acting roles.

Audition Dates & Venues

Audition 1 – Thursday 5 March
Valley Road Primary, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 1RR
5.00pm – 6.00pm: Ages 7 – 12
6.00pm – 7.00pm: Ages 13 – 21

You may arrive at any time within your allocated age-group slot.

Audition 2 – Sunday 8 March
The Kenton, New Street, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 2BP
2.00pm – 3.30pm: Ages 7 – 12
3.30pm – 5.00pm: Ages 13 – 21

You may arrive at any time within your allocated age-group slot.

Please note: All performers must be 8 years old by the time of the show.

Rehearsals & Performances

Rehearsals: Thursdays, starting Thursday 30 April

Performances: 9 – 11 July

Audition Process

Auditions are open – no booking required
Simply attend one audition within your age-group time slot
Sign in on arrival and take part in a group audition (approximately 15 – 20 performers)
Auditions last around 30 minutes and include singing, dancing, and acting
No preparation needed – all material is taught on the day
Parents are not permitted in the audition room but must remain on site to supervise children before and after auditions
All auditionees will receive a letter by post within two weeks of the second audition date, whether successful or not.
