Year 5 & 6 Leavers’ Production

Step into a world of imagination, courage and a little bit of mischief as the talented pupils of St Mary’s Prep School bring Matilda Jr. to the stage.

Based on the beloved story by Roald Dahl, this lively musical follows Matilda Wormwood, a bright and determined young girl with an extraordinary love of books. Despite facing challenges at home and the formidable Miss Trunchbull at school, Matilda discovers her inner strength and shows that even the smallest person can make a big difference by standing up for what is right.

Performed by pupils in Years 5 and 6, this production is a special celebration of the Year 6 leavers as they take to the stage for their final performance at St Mary’s. It marks an important milestone in their school journey and reflects the confidence and creativity they have developed along the way. Alongside the Year 5 cast, they have worked with great dedication and enthusiasm to bring this story to life.

Full of energy, humour and heart, Matilda Jr. promises an entertaining and uplifting performance for audiences of all ages. We hope you enjoy the show.
