Dom Joly – Trigger Happy TV, the 25th Anniversary Tour

Now, to celebrate a quarter century of chaos, Dom Joly is bringing his most iconic characters and sketches to the stage in Trigger Happy TV Live! The 25th Anniversary Tour, alongside the release of an exclusive new limited edition book marking 25 years of the iconic series.

The new Trigger Happy TV Storybook looks back at the origins, impact and enduring legacy of the show, which became a defining portrait of Britain at the turn of the millennium. The limited edition book includes a signed book plate, bespoke tote bag and set of four badges, and complements Dom’s major new celebratory tour, which opens in September and runs across England, Wales and Scotland into May 2027.

Trigger Happy TV was more than a comedy show. It captured a brief, unrepeatable moment in British culture, before smartphones, social media and viral content changed the way people behaved in public. Dom’s surreal pranks disrupted everyday life with a uniquely British blend of absurdity, deadpan humour and anarchic charm, thriving on genuine reactions from unsuspecting members of the public.

Set against the backdrop of Cool Britannia and rapid technological change, the show documented the last days of public anonymity, when confusion, awkwardness and spontaneity were still authentic.

On stage, fans can expect beloved moments from the series, including The Giant Snail, The Traffic Warden, The Morris Dancer, The Scout, A Gang of Squirrels and THAT Big Mobile Phone. Dom will also share behind the scenes stories and insights into how these unforgettable moments came to life.

Looking back over the Trigger Happy TV years, Dom said: “I enjoyed going back over Trigger Happy TV days… it was a bit like time travelling back to when things just seemed a bit better. I’d forgotten a lot of stuff that happened. It was a crazy period.”

The tour and book explore the cultural, technological and social forces that made the show possible, tracing how a simple hidden camera concept became one of the most recognisable comedy shows of its generation.
