WE ARE RECRUITING NEW TRUSTEES TO JOIN OUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Kenton Theatre, the fourth oldest working theatre in the county, is a stunning Georgian building which first opened in November 1805 and is a registered charity.
This is an exciting time for The Kenton Theatre which is under new management and is seeking to expand the reach of its artistic, academic and community programmes. The Board of Trustees will play an important role over the next year and beyond, supporting the development of a refreshed purpose and strategic vision alongside a new business plan.
An opportunity has arisen for The Kenton Theatre to appoint several new Trustees to the Board to further its charitable aims and reinforce the financial sustainability of the organisation.
We are specifically looking for new trustees in two critical areas:
• Experience of theatrical programming, preferably in regional theatre, to support our ambitions to diversify our developing theatrical and artistic programmes
• Experience of developing educational programmes, preferably within the theatrical or creative arts sector
As a trustee, you will benefit from:
• Induction, training and reimbursable expenses • Opportunities to make strategic decisions and develop new skills
• The chance to be maintain, improve, and advance education in the Arts • The scope to shape the future of this historic theatre
Your time commitment would be preparation for and attendance at quarterly board meetings, ad hoc additional meetings, participation in working groups, networking and training.
Previous board/trustee experience is not necessary, and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.
