The Kenton Young Reviewer 2025

Do you love the theatre? In collaboration with The Henley Herald we’re giving you the chance to shine as The Kenton’s Young Reviewer for our award-winning pantomime Peter Pan!

We’re inviting children aged 6 – 11 to show off their imagination and passion for theatre. One winner will receive four VIP tickets to the exclusive Press Night performance of Peter Pan on Saturday 6 December, a special invite-only event. The winner will have a review of this performance published in the Henley Herald on 10 December 2025.

To enter just tell us why you love theatre and why you’d make the perfect Young Reviewer. Your entry can be in any form you choose: an essay, a poem, even a newspaper article – the more creative, the better!

Applications Close: Friday 7 November 2025
Open to: Children aged 6–11
Entry: Submit 150–250 words telling us why you love the theatre or pantomime and why you would make the perfect Young Reviewer. Entries should be dropped off at the box office or emailed to marketing@thekenton.org.uk
Prize: The winner will receive four tickets to the performance of Peter Pan on Saturday 6 December and a chance to have their review of the performance published in the Henley Herald.

Terms & Conditions

1. The competition is open to children between 6-11 years old only.
2. Entries must be submitted via the official entry channels by 7 November 2025 with the entries details attached.
3. Entries can be emailed to marketing@thekenton.org.uk or can be dropped off at the Box Office. The Box Office is open daily from 11am – 3pm, Monday to Saturday.
4. All work must be the child’s own original creation. Entries generated wholly or in part using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are not permitted and will be disqualified.
5. Each child may submit only one entry.
6. Entries can be in any written (e.g. essay, poem, newspaper article) but must be under 200 words.
7. One winner will receive four tickets (2 adult 2 child) to attend the VIP Press Night performance of Peter Pan at the Kenton Theatre on Saturday 6 December 2025 6pm. Prizes are non-exchangeable and have no cash alternative.
8. The winner will be required to write a 150-250 word review of the performance by 9 December 2025. The review will be published online on the Henley Herald on 10 December 2025.
9. Winners will be selected by a judging panel and notified by 14 November 2025. The panel’s decision is final.
10. By entering, participants agree that their work may be displayed, published, or shared by the Kenton Theatre for promotional purposes.
11. Any personal data collected will be used solely for the administration of this competition and in accordance with the Kenton Theatre’s privacy policy.
