Meet the Kenton Youth Team
Kenton Youth will be delivered by a dedicated team with experience across theatre, education, administration and young people’s creative development.
Based in a working professional theatre, the programme brings together a core team at The Kenton alongside visiting practitioners who will share specialist skills across performance, backstage, technical and creative theatre.
Together, the Kenton Youth team is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and inspiring space where children and young people can build confidence, develop new skills and discover every side of theatre.
Lottie Pheasant | Theatre Manager
Lottie led the creation and development of Kenton Youth from the very beginning and now oversees the programme, working closely with the Education Manager to shape its delivery and future growth.
A trained Arts Award Adviser, Lottie is passionate about giving children and young people access to high-quality arts experiences that build confidence, nurture creativity and open up the world of theatre.
Her career has spanned theatre management, charity leadership and community engagement, with a strong focus on widening participation and helping arts organisations connect more deeply with the communities they serve.
Through Kenton Youth, Lottie is proud to help create a supportive and inclusive space where young people can develop new skills, discover their creativity and feel part of something special.
Alice Brown | Education Manager
Alice brings more than ten years’ experience working in drama education and youth theatre, supporting children and young people in schools, theatre companies and performing arts settings.
Alongside her previous role as a KS2 Teacher and Drama Specialist at St Mary’s Preparatory School in Henley, Alice directs school productions and teaches private LAMDA lessons. She also directs musicals and teaches weekly drama classes at Stagecoach. Her previous roles include Assistant Director of Drama and Dance at Downe House School and drama teaching positions at The Abbey School and Maiden Erlegh School.
Alice has worked with children from early years through to sixth form. Her experience includes preparing pupils for LAMDA examinations, RADA Awards and Bronze Arts Award, as well as directing productions and delivering specialist drama workshops.
She is passionate about creating inspiring and supportive opportunities for young people to explore theatre, develop their creativity and grow in confidence.
Lottie Crowder | Lead Facilitator
Lottie is the Lead Facilitator for Kenton Youth, bringing more than five years’ experience working with children and young people aged 4 to 18 as a youth theatre leader, drama practitioner and facilitator.
Lottie has worked as the Creative Practitioner and Youth Theatre Leader at the Corn Exchange Newbury, where she led weekly youth theatre sessions and delivered drama workshops in schools and community settings. During her time there, she helped double youth theatre participation, produced the annual Roald Dahl Schools Showcase for three consecutive years and supported hundreds of children to perform on a professional stage.
Lottie also has experience supporting children and young people with SEND and social, emotional and mental health needs. She is passionate about using drama to build confidence, communication skills and a sense of belonging, creating welcoming and inclusive sessions where young people feel safe, supported and able to participate.
Lottie is excited to be part of Kenton Youth and looks forward to helping young people make friends, develop new skills and discover the confidence and enjoyment that theatre can bring.
Selina Brathwaite | Class Assistant
Selina joins Kenton Youth as Class Assistant, bringing with her a lifelong passion for the performing arts. As a child, she trained at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, where she began a professional career in dance and acting.
After graduating from drama school in her early twenties, Selina spent several years performing in theatres across the country. Since moving to Henley and becoming a mum, she has continued to work as an actor, primarily in television and commercials. For the past two years, she has also been part of the Operations team at The Kenton, taking on a variety of roles across the theatre.
Selina is thrilled to be joining Kenton Youth and is passionate about inspiring and supporting the next generation of theatre makers within the local community. She hopes her experience as both a child performer and professional actor will encourage young people to develop their confidence, creativity and love of the arts.
She is excited to be part of Kenton Youth’s inaugural year and looks forward to seeing the programme grow.
Hannah Jones | Programme Administrator
Hannah is the Programme Administrator for Kenton Youth, bringing many years of administrative experience and a lifelong passion for the arts.
She has built her career in the cultural sector, with previous roles at the Ashmolean Museum, Cornerstone Arts Centre and the River & Rowing Museum, developing extensive experience in supporting arts organisations and the communities they serve.
Hannah has been part of The Kenton team for more than two and a half years as Theatre Administrator and Secretary to the Board of Trustees. She is now delighted to take on the additional role of Programme Administrator for Kenton Youth, helping to support the programme, its participants and its continued growth.
