Henley Children’s Theatre presents; Wallywood
Times are hard for poor old Farmer C… Struggling to make ends meet, it’s doubtful he’ll be able to pass the long-held family business down to the next generation, his hapless but charming son, Wally.
Wally, however, is dying to become a thespian having graduated from the HenGlee Academy for Dramatic Arts.
Renowned US film producer, Harvey Beerstein, comes to town to film his latest blockbuster, which brings great excitement for the locals who are all keen to audition for this once is a lifetime opportunity. But can Hollywood sprinkle it’s magic in HenGlee? Can HenGlee cope with the levels of luvvie-dom necessary to co-exist with their La La Land antics?
In a slightly bonkers script spoofing many a familiar tale, HCT brings their typical brand of joy and good humour with a simple, yet entertaining story.
A cast of 100 plus local children will sing, dance and bring their effervescent enthusiasm to the tale of Wallywood.
